First Journal Entry!

Sun Nov 2, 2008, 9:02 PM
I've had this account since 2004, and now, I've finally decided to, y'know, do something with it! I'm not exactly sure how stuff goes down here on deviantART, but oh well. I'm not an artist, I can't draw anything, like, at all. I am, however, a writer. Not a very motivated one mind you, but if I ever manage to FINISH something, I might put it up here. Maybe.

Not too long I go I applied for my first job, as a Laboratory Technician Assistant for this company called A.I.M. Composites. Not too long ago, and not too coincidentally, I also got turned down a job for the very first time. I'm currently applying for more jobs, and hopefully, I'll actually get once.

In other news, I bought this tabletop RPG called CthulhuTech aaaaaall the way when it first came out. I was one of the first lucky people to get it, and I'm glad I did. It is one sexy beast. A brilliant Lovecraftian setting, with mecha, shadow wars, military action, government conspiracies... it's a goddamned wet dream. Unfortunately, getting people to PLAY it is... difficult, to say the least. But after a year, I'm finally getting what I hope is a permanent game going. If I ever update again, I'll keep you, uh, updated.

I've also recently got back into 2D Fighting Games. I used to play Guilty Gear (the first one) casually years ago, and last year I played Melty Blood: Act Cadenza pretty hardcore, although I've since uninstalled it. Now, I've started playing Garou: Mark of the Wolves, and the King of Fighters 2002. I'm not very good at either, but I play them both pretty much every day.

On that note, I have this Gamepad, I got it last year because of Melty Blood. It was this nice 6 button one, which worked perfectly for its 3 button needs. Turns out, it also worked great for Garou and KOF. At least until I broke the D-pad, somehow. Now, I'm trying to get a new controller, specifically, an arcade stick. People say they're better for fighting games, and I decided, hey, why not.

I'm not entirely sure how I should end one of these here Journal Entries, or if I ranted on about my life too much, or pretty much anything. Well, whatever. There is TEXT there, right? And that's all that matters. I think. Anyway, yeah, thanks for reading. Maybe I'll, gasp, update in the future?
